Drones have become an essential part of business in dozens
of industries including real estate, professional
photography, and video production. Drones are being used for
advertising, social media, and live streaming. How are
drones changing your business? Although the FAA regulations
are currently strict for businesses, many companies are
preparing now for when the FAA makes the Commercial UAV
License available. There is a lot that your business can do
in preparation for the eventual explosion of the UAV
industry.
Training for the Commercial Operator
Eight hour course:
Open Enrollment Courses are designed for individuals looking to enter the drone industry and network with other drone enthusiasts. This course is designed for a mixture of photographers, hobbyists, retirees, drone-preneurs, realtors, and emergency services personnel. Small groups of 8-12 paticipants.

Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to:
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of Commercial UAV flight
- Adhere to FAA rules and regulations pertinent to Commercial Use of modern UASs
- Apply safety practices during flight of Commercial Operations.
Flight instruction will take place in the Rescue Training Public Safety Training Center at 9 Mall Terrace, Savannah 31406.
This eight hour workshop includes:
- Five hours of introduction to the commercial use of small unmanned aerial vehicles (sUAV)
- One hour practice on simulator
- One hour hands-on flying (outdoors) Bring your UAV if you already have one.
- One hour hands-on scenario achievements and testing
- UAS Commercial Operator certification card
- Opportunity to network and meet with other UAS enthusiasts, flyers, and operators.
